There's something magical about making sticky chai from scratch. Unlike powdered chai, our loose-leaf blend is designed to be slowly brewed, allowing the tea, spices and natural sweetness to come together for a rich, café-style cup at home.
Follow our signature brewing method and you'll be rewarded with a beautifully aromatic chai that's worth every minute.
🌿 Step 1 – Wake Up the Spices
Add 14g (approximately 2 tablespoons) of Sticky Chai to a small saucepan over low to medium heat.
Allow the chai to warm gently for 30–60 seconds, stirring occasionally. As the spices heat, they'll begin releasing their natural essential oils and incredible aroma—the secret behind a rich, full-bodied sticky chai.
✨ Don't rush this step—it's where the magic begins.
💧 Step 2 – Build the Flavour
Once the spices become fragrant and you notice a light wisp of steam, carefully add 20ml of water.
Increase the heat slightly and allow the water to bubble away until it has almost completely evaporated. This helps intensify the spices while creating a beautifully concentrated flavour base.
🥛 Step 3 – Add the Milk
Pour in 1 cup (250ml) of your favourite milk and increase the heat to medium.
Gently bring the chai to a simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent the milk from catching on the bottom of the pan.
Our favourite? Soy milk. We recommend using around 260ml as a little naturally evaporates during brewing, leaving you with the perfect creamy finish.
Prefer oat, almond or dairy? They all work beautifully too.
☕ Step 4 – Strain & Enjoy
Pour your chai through a fine mesh tea strainer into your favourite mug.
Take a moment to enjoy the beautiful aroma before your first sip.
Then settle in, slow down and savour every comforting mouthful.
✨ My Tip
The longer your chai gently simmers, the richer and bolder the spice flavour becomes. Don't be afraid to experiment until you find your perfect brew.
